Members of OTP banka's Supervisory Board voted today on the new President of OTP banka's Management Board. As already announced, the selection of the new President of the Management Board was carried out by sending personal invitations to potential candidates. Following the presentation by candidates who responded to the invitation, the Supervisory Board resolved, by common consent, Aleš Hauc to be the most suitable candidate for the position of the President of the Management Board.
The new President of OTP banka's Management Board will introduce himself to the public at the press conference on Monday, 12 March 2012, at 9:00 a.m., in the Meeting Room of OTP banka, Ulica Vita Kraigherja 4, Maribor.
Aleš Hauc received his diploma from the Faculty of Economics and Business, where he was awarded the Golden Badge Prize by the University of Maribor for his outstanding study achievements. He continued his doctoral studies at the same faculty. He has updated his skills by participating in professional courses abroad, among others at one of the best colleges for business studies, the Babson College in the USA.
He has a long-year experience in finance and banking. He started his career as an adviser for corporate finance at the Economic Institute in Maribor, and continued his professional life working as an auditor. He was heading the internal audit department at the former Krekova Banka, and was later appointed as an adviser to the Director and to the Management Board of this bank. In 2002, he was appointed Manager of Banka Koper branch office in Maribor, with his main responsibilities being consolidation of the bank's market share, relationship with key customers, and execution of the bank's strategy.
In 2005, he became General Manager of Pošta Slovenije. The Supervisory Board re-elected him in 2010, after he had justified the confidence of the owners. For a number of years, he has been a lecturer at the Gea College in Ljubljana and at the Bank Association of Slovenia, and is a university professor of finance and banking at the Faculty of Economic and Business in Maribor.
