OTP Group Expands into the Baltic Markets with Its Largest Acquisition to Date

OTP Group, the owner of OTP banka in Slovenia, has signed an agreement to acquire Luminor, one of the leading universal banks in the Baltic region. The transaction will be the largest acquisition in OTP Group’s history and a major milestone in its international growth strategy.

Following the required regulatory approvals, OTP Group will expand its presence to 14 countries, entering Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The transaction will further strengthen the Group’s position as one of the leading banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe and support the development of innovative banking services for clients across its markets.

The completion of the transaction remains subject to receiving the necessary regulatory approvals.
