OTP Group among the 400 world's leading companies

30 June 2026
OBVESTILA

OTP Group, of which OTP banka in Slovenia is also a part, has for the first time been ranked among the world’s 400 leading companies on the prestigious Forbes Global 2000 list. The achievement follows four consecutive years of significant progress and confirms OTP Group’s increasingly strong position in the international environment.

The Forbes Global 2000 annually ranks the world’s largest companies based on four key indicators: revenue, profit, assets and market capitalization, each weighted equally. In 2026, OTP Group ranked among the top 1,000 companies in all categories and achieved an overall ranking of 398th.

OTP Group has been ranked among the world’s 400 strongest companies in the Forbes Global 2000 - an achievement we have reached together with our colleagues, clients, and partners as a Hungary-based regional banking group. The continuous development of OTP Group confirms the strength of our stable strategy and customer-focused operations. Our nearly 40,000 employees across 11 countries work every day to make life simpler and more secure for our close to 17,5 million customers, while further strengthening our leading position in Central and Eastern Europe. I would like to thank my colleagues for their efforts contributing to our shared success, and our customers for the trust that is essential to our outstanding growth,” said Péter Csányi, CEO of OTP Bank.

An important indicator for Slovenia

The ranking on the global scale is also significant for the Slovenian market, where OTP banka continues to strengthen its role as one of the key financial institutions. Being part of one of the financially strongest groups in the world means greater stability, access to knowledge and innovation, and further strengthening the trust of customers and business partners.

András Hamori, President of the Management Board at OTP banka: “For OTP banka in Slovenia, this achievement primarily represents confirmation and further acceleration of our development in the local market. The strength of the OTP Group enables us to introduce modern banking solutions more quickly, enhance our customers’ experience, and support economic development in Slovenia even more actively. Our goal remains clear – to be a reliable partner to our customers in their financial decisions.

In 2026, OTP Group ranked among the top 1,000 companies in all categories evaluated by Forbes: 360th by profit, 313th by assets, 993rd by revenue, and 658th by market value, resulting in an overall ranking of 398th. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that four years ago we were not yet among the top 1,000; since then, we have significantly improved our position year by year.
