András Hámori is set to become the new head of OTP banka

5 May 2025
OBVESTILA

OTP banka is delighted to announce that András Hámori is today joining the bank, initially as a Procurator, before officially assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer (subject to regulatory approvals). The appointment of a banker with over 25 years of experience and a proven track record in digital transformation across multiple international markets, reflects the Supervisory Board’s commitment to building on OTP banka’s strong foundations and driving continued growth, innovation, and customer excellence.

The arrival of András Hámori marks the beginning of a new chapter for OTP banka following last year’s successful merger of Nova KBM and SKB banka. The newly unified OTP banka has consolidated its position as the most accessible bank in Slovenia and one of its significant financial institutions. Through strong financial performance in 2024, OTP banka and the OTP Group have ensured a solid foundation for long-term sustainability, resilience, and further investment in development and socially responsible practices.

OTP banka is now ready to advance its strategy by putting clients firmly at the centre of all its activities. By exceeding customer expectations, the bank aims to drive sustainable growth, expand across all business segments, optimise operations, and realise synergies to address market challenges. Through continuous commitment to digital transformation, it will increase end-to-end digital sales and enhance self-service capabilities to meet ever-evolving client needs.

The bank also remains deeply committed to employee welfare and fostering a positive organisational culture — a vital element for building a strong and cohesive team. OTP banka will continue to invest in the professional development and well-being of its people.

Already one of the leading banks in the country, OTP banka is set to elevate its standards even further under Mr. Hámori’s leadership, reinforcing its role as one of the leading financial institutes in the market.

András Hámori said: “I am honored to join OTP banka, a financial institution with a strong presence in the Slovenian market and solid foundations, and I am excited to build the future together. I believe that banking services should focus on the needs of the customers, and I am committed to placing this principle at the centre of everything we do. By ensuring unmatched accessibility combined with personalized and digitally enhanced services, we will offer added value to both our clients and the broader community. I believe in open dialogue, collaboration and fostering engagement across the organization. I am looking forward to working with the highly dedicated and professional team on our journey to shape the future of OTP banka and further define the Slovenian banking market.”

András Hámori is taking over from Spyridon Ntallas, member of our Management Board responsible for Finance and Planning (CFO), who was appointed interim President of the Management Board on 1 January 2025 to head the bank until the arrival of the new CEO.  Imre Bertalan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of OTP banka in Slovenia, said: “We are delighted to welcome András Hámori aboard of one of the most significant members of the international OTP Group. By selecting András as the new CEO, we aim to bring additional experience to facilitate further growth and innovations for OTP banka. We expect him to further enhance the customer focus and ensure excellent user experience through continuous digitalisation. At the same time, I would like to thank Spyridon Ntallas and other members of the Management Board for successfully steering the bank during this transitional phase.”

András Hámori will lead the Management Board of OTP banka that consists of the following members: Anita Stojčevska, Vice – president and Member of the Management Board responsible for Corporate Banking Spyridon Ntallas, Member of the Management Board responsible for Financial Operations and Planning (CFO), , Gvido Jemenšek, Member of the Management Board responsible for Retail Banking, Sabina Župec Kranjc, Member of the Management Board responsible for Markets and Operations, Miha Kristl, Member of the Management Board responsible for Risk Management, and Vojko Božiček, Management Board Member, responsible for Digital.
