OBVESTILA

OTP Group achieved the highest ranking among European banks in the Large banks category of the inaugural global ranking of the world’s top-performing banks, compiled by Forbes in cooperation with research company Statista. Among comparable financial institutions worldwide, the Group ranked 10th globally.

The new Forbes ranking evaluates banks based on objective financial performance indicators, including growth, profitability, capital adequacy, asset quality and long-term sustainability. OTP Group was recognized as the highest-performing European bank in the Large Banks category.

Peter Csányi, CEO of OTP Bank in Hungary: „OTP Group's story is unique. Over the past decades, we have built one of the leading banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe through consistent organic growth, successful acquisitions and disciplined operations. What makes this recognition particularly valuable is that it acknowledges our ability to combine rapid growth, outstanding profitability and long-term resilience. This balance has been at the core of our strategy for many years."

The recognition confirms the strength of OTP Group’s performance across all markets in which it operates, including Slovenia. Through growth, business results, customer focus and service development, OTP banka and the other companies of OTP Skupina Slovenija contribute to the success of the wider regional group and help strengthen its international reputation. At the same time, the recognition confirms the important role OTP banka plays in the Slovenian market as a member of one of Europe’s most successful banking groups.

András Hámori, president of the management board of OTP banka in Slovenia: "This recognition confirms that OTP Group is among Europe’s most successful financial groups and that its strategy delivers results across all markets where it operates. For OTP Skupina Slovenija, it is a further confirmation that we are part of an international group with a clear long-term vision, combining strong local presence with the expertise, strength and experience of one of the leading banking groups in the region."

The recognition awarded to OTP Group complements a series of prestigious awards received by OTP banka in Slovenia this year. Global Finance named OTP banka the Best Bank in Slovenia, while Euromoney awarded the bank the title of Best Bank in Slovenia 2026, one of the most respected international distinctions in the banking industry. OTP banka also received the Bank of the Year 2025 award from The Banker, whose judging panel evaluates institutions based on business performance, innovation, professional excellence and future readiness. These awards confirm the successful performance of OTP Skupina Slovenija in its domestic market and its contribution to the results of one of Europe’s most successful banking groups.
